Citizen of the Year Award 2014
This Year we awarded the Wyoming Department of Transportation with the Citizens of the Year award for their maintenance of our highways and roads throughout Wyoming. Congratulations WYDOT!
Below is the Proclamation Speech given at the award Ceremony.
2014 Citizen of the Year Award
The 2014 Citizen of the Year is awarded to a crucial division of public safety. This Department has a long history of service to the people of Teton County as well as all Citizens of the Great State of Wyoming.
The personnel of this Department is vital for providing safety of all travelers throughout our State. Our citizens, tourists, businesses, politicians as well as our beloved children count on your pledge of service. In the course of our fraternal duties, as Masons, we also must travel great distances across Wyoming and this is only possible by the tireless efforts of this department’s personnel and administrators.
Under dire conditions, this department performs their duties and pays no heed to the whims of Wyoming Weather.
The conditions of Wyoming’s roads are kept in the highest state of safety, regardless of the prevailing conditions.
Therefore we, as members of the oldest and largest fraternal organization in the world, as well as Citizens of the Great State of Wyoming, AND the MEMBERS OF JACKSON LODGE #48, we recognize the efforts and dedication of the workers of the Wyoming Department of Transportation as our Citizens of the Year for 2014.
Thank you from all the Masonic Families throughout Wyoming and visiting Brothers from elsewhere.
